How much does it cost to rent a car in Phuket?
The price depends on the vehicle, rental period, season, protection option and additional services. Check the current price page using your actual dates.
What documents are required?
Under the current rental conditions, an international visitor should prepare:
a valid passport;
a valid national driving licence;
an International Driving Permit accepted in Thailand.

What are the age and driving-experience requirements?
The standard conditions currently specify a minimum age of 21 and at least three years of driving experience. A young-driver option may change the applicable requirement for a particular booking.

Is a deposit required?
Many tariffs require a refundable deposit. The amount depends on the vehicle and selected protection.
Some bookings may be available with a reduced or zero deposit when the relevant option is selected. The quotation and agreement must clearly show the final deposit.
Is the deposit the same as the insurance excess?
No. The deposit is security under the agreement. The excess is the renter’s potential participation in an insured loss.
A zero deposit does not automatically mean that every type of damage is covered.
What does insurance cover?
Coverage depends on the selected option. Before signing, check:
the excess;
excluded parts and damage;
tyres, wheels, glass and underbody;
interior damage;
water damage;
prohibited use;
unlisted drivers;
accident-reporting procedure.
Is airport pickup available?
Yes. Pickup and return at Phuket International Airport are available. Under the current conditions, service during regular working hours is free.

What happens if my flight arrives at night?
Regular working hours are currently 08:30–19:30. Pickup or return outside these hours is available as an additional service, with the final charge confirmed in advance.
Provide the flight number and inform the manager if the flight is delayed.
Is mileage unlimited?
The current conditions include unlimited mileage within the permitted travel area. The agreement should list the applicable regions.
Ask for approval before driving outside the permitted area.
What is the fuel policy?
The vehicle is normally provided with a specified fuel level and should be returned at the same level. Check the handover report and keep the final fuel receipt when practical.
Can another person drive?
Only if that person is permitted under the agreement and provides the required documents. An unlisted driver may invalidate insurance coverage.
What should I do after an accident or breakdown?
Stop safely, contact the emergency number shown in the agreement and follow the rental company’s instructions. Do not continue driving if the vehicle may be unsafe.
