Compare the total for the exact dates, including coverage, deposit, additional drivers and requested equipment. A headline daily rate does not explain extension terms, an early return or a vehicle change.
Ask how an extension must be requested and priced before the original agreement expires. If your departure date is flexible, do not assume the same car will automatically remain available.
Choose for routine, not for a weekend
Over a month, fuel use, seat comfort, luggage access and parking at your accommodation matter every day. A compact car works well in dense beach areas and Phuket Town; a crossover may suit a family carrying equipment or moving between homes.
At pickup, spend time checking air conditioning, tyres, wipers, charging ports and every seat belt. A small inconvenience on day one can become a persistent problem over several weeks.
Maintenance, support and changing plans
Confirm how to report warning lights, tyre problems or scheduled service. Do not arrange repairs without approval; document the issue and follow the rental team's instructions.
If you plan to drive beyond Phuket, make sure the route remains within the permitted region stated in the agreement. Tell the team if a change of accommodation affects collection, inspection or return arrangements.
